Birthing Kingdom LLC is owned and operated by Milan, a passionate Virginia State Certified Full Spectrum Doula. She believes in educating women and their partners while creating a safe and comfortable birthing space. Milan relies heavily on her faith and believes working as a doula is a way to serve God and his kingdom, this led to the creation of Birthing Kingdom LLC. After practicing under one of the most sought out doula agencies in Virginia, Milan wanted to apply her skills, knowledge and experience under a new ideology. Birthing Kingdom LLC offers doula services focused on incorporating Jesus Christ into your pregnancy and birthing journey. We aim to educate parents on all things pregnancy, the labor and birthing process, postpartum care for mothers, and caring for your baby. Birthing Kingdom LLC is dedicated to helping you create a reassuring pregnancy and birthing environment that enhances peace of mind, autonomy, and well-being. We work with pregnant women birthing at home, birthing centers and hospitals within the Richmond, Virginia area and surrounding counties.

What is a Doula?

A doula is a trained non medical professional who provides physical and emotional support to pregnant women during pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. Doulas educate families regarding pregnancy, childbirth, and caring for a new baby. In a medical establishment, doulas will additionally function as advocates who ensure birthing mamas are being heard, promptly attended too, and birthing wishes are honored.

Compassionate Doula Services

Milan was such a great doula and I learned so much from her. Having it be my second baby I wanted this experience to be as natural as possible because with my first it was a very traumatic experience for me! She knew exactly what I wanted and helped me get through this pregnancy! I learned techniques I didn’t know before, exercises that helped me during labor & her just being there for me during my laboring process helped me so much! I couldn’t have done it without her! She drove me to the hospital and I almost had my baby in her car. She was calm and helped me all the way till we got to the hospital where I gave birth in the hospital wheelchair! Expert Childbirth Education

Milan was a great doula. During our weekly meetings she educated us on things that could potentially happen at birth and different ways to help with the pain. Whenever I needed her she was always available. When we got to the hospital she immediately took over. She helped the nurse put me into different positions to help the labor progress. She made me less anxious when it came to giving birth, because before meeting her I had anxiety about being in the hospital. She was very calming for a stressful situation. She has a calming and chill personality in general. I couldn’t have asked for a better doula. Thank you Milan!

Dedicated Labor Support

Milan really helped me to understand the whole process of the pregnancy. She took time to explain everything to me way better than my brief doctor visits. Especially when it was getting close to time for me to give birth she went through everything from positions I can do to ease the contractions and pain, down to what doctors will be checking on after the baby's born. And during the pregnancy she was very helpful at keeping me comfortable turning me when I needed to be turned and making sure I had everything I need and overlooking the nurses and stuff making sure they were doing what they needed to be doing that gave me extra comfort in knowing Milan wasn't going to let anything happen to me or the baby. After my baby was born and we came home Milan would offer helping hand when she came over and I always was very thankful of that. It took stress off to know I wasn't doing this with little to no understanding.

Personalized Postpartum Care

During my pregnancy I was worried about someone advocating for me so I could have a vbac. Milan was there every step of the way and made me feel heard. She stood up for what I wanted for birth and post partum. Her warmth hug and smile made me feel like she was my mom and I knew I could trust her. We found out I couldn’t have a vbac and I cried my eyes out but she was right there to still ask questions to the dr to make sure we were all on the same page and I wasn’t getting taken advantage of . Milan was there in the surgery room and after my c section making sure I received my medication and that baby was okay. I will never forget how she made me feel safe like no other. Me and my family appreciate everything she did for me . You won’t have to worry about your dr or nurse not sticking to your birth plan because she will definitely call and check on you even if your sleep in your post partum room getting all information from who is taking care of you to getting in touch with the dr.
